A Whole Months Gone By...

How does that happen a whole month just flies by, but it has been a very exciting month. I started trying new recipes this month, which was very exciting, I made a veggie lasagna. I really really enjoyed it, Dixon said it was too beany for him, so I might have to try different beans next time. They were a bit dry. But other than that it was an awesome lasagna, look;
Delicous no? And excellent the second day when I had it for lunch.
We also had people over for the first time, normally we go over to other people's houses so this was really nice! And I even got photos to prove it.
It was loads of fun just watching telly, playing video games, and we had Haq's for tea, and they are pretty much t he best indian takeaway you can get, it was awesome.
Me and Dixon also like to go for walks and we went twice in two days because it was a really nice the day after I took my camera and bought a roll so I could go and feed some duckies! The day before we did see a Canadian goose which made me feel all at home and stuff cause I used to see them all the time, but of course the day I have my camera he wasn't there again, but I did sing Oh Canada to him, to make him feel at home as well.
The seagulls really really wanted some of my roll, but I was trying my best to feed the duckies cause I like the better, although I think they still got their fair share, look at them queing up!
Then it was our turn for lunch, I had an awesome veggie chilli by innocenti veg bowls, it was awesome cold, I imagine that it would be even better warm.
I also finally got a photo of the old mill, I have been down here a few times and every time I didn't have my camera!
We also saw a stork, or a heron or something like that but he flew away before I could get a photo, although the day before when I didn't ahve my camera with me he stood picture perfect for us and I couldn't get any photos which made it that much worse when he flew away just before I could get a nice photo, hopefully then next time we go for a walk he will be there again, but it is getting close to winter so I don't really think so. But there were ponies!

And to finish off the day a rainbow C:
I also have a million pictures of when my sisters, Camille and Caryn came to visit me, but I think I have done a lot of uploading right now and will get to it later plus I have to go through them to see whats all good, since I have all of our photos.

So I have been trying to draw this drawing for about a year now, well morel ike two weeks, but I can't get the top of the clock finished, I like practically everything else except I can't get anything to work, I've tried an owl, a skull a humminbird, a swallow... and the list goes on, I really like the sketch so far and I really want to line and colour it but it needs to be finished! Hopefully I will get a strike of brilliance soon!

Birthdays, Thai Food and The Clash

So yesterday was Mackenzie's Birthday Day Out, and we went to the Thai Orchid. It was a little bit posh but the food was awesome, it was the best tofu I have ever tasted in my life plus Dixon came with me so that was amzing! I unfortunately didn't take any pictures cause I am crap at it, but it was a lovely night. Mackenzie's food came in a hollowed out half pineapple, that was really cool!
And I have absolutely no pictures of anything I ahve been up to so no pictures today. At least there is a link to the restaurant, because it was amazing and I would fully recommend it to anyone!

Dixon also recently got the whole discography of the Clash and it is pretty much all we have been listening to especially this,

Cupcakes and FaceHandle!

I got the brilliant idea that I would make Cherry Chip cupcakes, unfortunately you cannot get Cherry Chip Cupcke mix over in the UK so I had to settle for Devils Food Cake and Chocolate Icing! So it wasn't a bad comprimise, but I am missing Cherry Chip cake a lot right now! They did turn out pretty swell I think even though Dixon had his doubts, but he will never know anywa because he hates chocolate. So with only me to judge I say they were pretty amazing!
They aren't iced yet, but I didn't think that they would stack as well so I just ice them as I eat them. Its a pretty good system!

I also made dinner for my lovely husband and we had a great big Chinese! It was veggie chicken with veg in a black bean sauce, fried egg noodles, and jasmine rice, it was very nice if I do say so myself, although I don't really like black bean sauce.
I also made wayyyy too much!
Took a bit of time but thats it all together C:
Later Dixon had a gig so we went to that but he wouldn't let me take any pictures so I don't have any of them, but suffice it to say, I am very hungover today and spent far too much money but it was a lot of fun so the sore head is worth it.

Painting Drawing and Tom Waits Plus A Tattoo Update

So I wasn't feelin very well with my upset stomach the other day, so I decided it would be much safer to stay home today than risk having to run to the toilet, no fun at all.
Still I didn't want it to be a waste of a day,
So it was a pretty amazing day so I set up a wee workspace out in the garden...
and it was surprisingly productive!
There was another painting as well but I didn't take a photo of it... I did have an upset stomach.
Plus I got to listen to Tom Waits all day for hours. I happen to have pretty well his whole discography so I actually can listen to him all day C:
That certainly helped with my productiveness.

Also yesterday I went to visit Matt (his facebook) to get some colour in the amazing Owl-Teacup tattoo! We didn't get it all finished today but most of the teacup is finished so I am very excited!

Its not the most amazing picture with my camera but it is also kind of an awkward place (the back of my arm) to get a photo of so one day I am sure there will be a better photo. If I can't take it I am sure Matt will let me borrow it. All in all it was really good fun.
