100 Happy Days 29-35 and More

So at the beginning of this week I though that my next seven of the 100 Days Happy would be all about the new cross stitch I was starting, buuuut  I had amazing news on Friday. My application for permanent residency has been approved. So that shifted the whole week completely! Not that the new cross stitch isn't going well haha. But here they are, seven more days.

1. Mailing Birthday cards to Canada

2. New Cross stitch pattern, its gonna be huge!

3. Walking to get more thread, and the castle was being beautiful

4. Making Leak and Potato soup, YUM!

5. Celebratory Thai!

6. Lemsip for the cold

7. Sherlock and the Great Mouse Detective comparisons for the win!

To go into Friday a bit more, Dixon and I went for a meal, and to see the paper lantern terracotta warriors, that were on display too. I popped to see them in the daylight and at night, and it was more impressive to see at night but way harder to capture. But still really cool. And afterward we went to Chang Thai, for, you guessed it, Thai food! The food was so nice as the service was brilliant. I got a type of curry I had never had before, and Dixon had steak, and was feeling manly, and got it spicy, it was really spicy. But everything was so good even if it numbed Dixon's lip! So it was a brilliant day all around.

So this weeks Friday will be a Happy Day that will be hard to top!

We also had Champagne and Gingerbread with Gail and Gordon on Saturday, so that would have probably qualified for Saturdays happy, but I totally forgot to take a photo! I suck.

Photograms

Its been a wee while now, and you know what, I am still walking. Its been pretty great, I feel a lot brighter through the day, though I am hungrier and sleepier at night, but that might be a good thing. It sure does get you up in the morning, now I have a hard time sleeping in on my days off.  Which have also been pretty nice, I haven't been up to too much but when I have been it's been good. I finished off the pages for Payton last month, and they have now been sent away. James and Tina should be getting them any time now so that is exciting. My application is all sent away safe and sound, and I know they got it because the money for it has been withdrawn. I am a bit stressed about it, but just trying to keep positive. So that is also good.

Last weekend it was Doors Open Day here in Edinburgh and I made sure I went to something! I went to Stills which has been something I have wanted to do for a while now and I got to make photograms which also meant I got to go into a dark room and develop film. Which I have wanted to do for a while now! So I am really excited with the results and I am hoping to go on another one of their workshops soon! There are a couple taster sessions I have been looking at that look excellent, but I do not know if I have the days off for it yet so I will have to double check.

So we will have to check back in more especially to see if I am still walking.

Application

I don't really know where the time went, but it is almost time for my application for Indefinite Leave to Remain, and you know what, I am a bit anxious about it. I suppose I am bound to be with my success rate of 66.6% in these kind of applications. That is to say that only one of them failed, but it still makes you feel really  nervous as you lay away at night. Pretty well everything is in order, as far as I  know, just waiting for some different papers to come through and a bit worried about funds as Virgin Media, TV Licence and Council tax are more than I thought they would be, though I have had a bit more of a heads up for the Council tax side of things. So money will be tight this month.

Other than that I am pretty good, I have started recycling which has made me walk more, because our local recycling spot is not far away, same with the library which is less than five minutes away and today I walked to work, more out of economical need rather than anything else. But it kind of does make you feel good, though I don't know if after this month I will continue, and hour and a a bit each way is a pretty far walk, but we will see.

I have finished Counting at the Zoo! Which is very exciting, I can't wait to send them over to James, Tina and wee Payton. Hopefully sooner rather than later. So here is your wee peek.

I also made soup and roasted my first ever batch of peppers! Which were pretty darn good and the soup even better! So Yay for some cooking.

Sorry that this post has mostly been whining about money, but I have had it on my mind a lot.
