Edinburgh Zoo Visit One

For my birthday, my wonderful sisters got me a pass to the Edinburgh Zoo, which is incredible! You guys know how much I like the zoo, and zoos in general, I have now had multiple posts about it and I am pretty sure not a year goes by without me going. So you would think that I would have less photos, but I possibly have more! So get excited we are going to the zoo again!

It turned out to be an excellent day to go out for a big giant walk, the weather was amazing, in the sun it could actually be warm and so it was basically perfect. Dixon hadn't been to the zoo for at least ten year, me its been only a few months. But it was really great, apparently now that I am a member I can go into the members building, I didn't, cause I wasn't sure I was allowed, I know silly. But that is something to look forward to next time. Also the membership allows me to go the a few international zoos and the Highland Wildlife Park in Scotland, so I am hoping that when Dixon gets his license we will go to some of them!

It was brilliant we got to see the Sun Bears play fighting with each other, the pelicans looked amazing and they were so much bigger than I thought they would be, the otters were playing, the penguins were being fed. So it was fun because it was a little bit different again. So enjoy the photos!

 

Courtyard

I gave a few wee updates to make, and probably a couple posts that I have not been keeping up with but they are on their way. So exciting news is on its way I think! 

February has been cold, but surprisingly sunny a lot of the days and we totally lucked out last Sunday with great weather. So I took advantage of my new Royal Zoological Society Pass that I got for my Birthday, and went to the zoo! But I haven't edited the photos for that yet so that will come soon! 

So for now I found a wee courtyard just beyond the Writers Museum and snapped so photos hopefully that will tide you over. 

I forgot to post this before, and apparently because blogger is on google and I've linked the account google sometimes makes photos out of your photos, so from my previous post about the big wheel,  it stitched a couple photos together and came out with this beauty!

The Big Wheel

So I have been away to Canada the past week and a bit, well I have been back a few days too, but I had a really good visit with some of my friends and most of my family. So I really appreciate all the effort that everyone put in to see me and getting me from one place to another. I did take a bunch of photos while I was there but not really any of the actual places I stayed. I reverted to my non photo taking self. But maybe I have a post in there. 

I got to meet my nieces and they are both such awesome wee people. I could probably fill this blog with pictures of them!

But I realised I am quite behind, Hayley and I went to the Christmas market and on the big wheel way back at the start of the month. So I thought I would go back to that and get some of those photos out there.

I have wanted to go on the big wheel ever since I very first moved here, and yet somehow between working and not wanting to go alone, I have never done it. But it turned out to be a gorgeous day for it, and it couldn't have been better. We finished off the day with mulled wine and churos/crepes.

I didn't find my speculass cookies so I will need to try next year!
