St Margaret's Loch

I am officially addicted to my Pentax, this is the most film I have shot since getting into cameras, and you know what its awesome! So hopefully you don't mind post after post laden with photographs, cause hopefully that will be what is happening for a good while now. Although I probably need to wait until payday until I get anymore printed. So possibly a reprieve is coming up for you.
These photos are from a wee walk up Arthur's Seat and around Holyrood Park to the ruined abbey, St Anthony's Chapel and St Margaret's Loch, for a wee visit with the swans. It was a gorgeous day, one that makes you think that summer is here and here to stay. Unfortunately summer is still waiting but it was a brilliant day for a picnic and some photographs.

Butterfly World and The Shire

It has been a pretty excellent week so far, but I had been excited all week for yesterday, Hayley and I were going to Butterfly World and then we got tickets for the Take Two of the Hobbit at the Cinema, so basiclaly two for 1 and you got a drink and popcorn free. Proper good deal!
Butterfly World was lovely, I haven't ever seen anywhere that had that many butterflies in one place, the only similar place I have been is in the Calgary Zoo they have a greenhousey bit with butterflies. There were loads of the Nymph Butterflies which are the large white ones, and I did see a Blue Morph, but it never landed anywhere I could see. But I was loving the turtles and the quails, though at least the turtles stood still for a photo. Anyway the pictures speak for themselves, much better than I could.

The quails kept running away while I was taking their photo but you can almost catch them.

And afterwards we went to the Cinema to see the second Hobbit film which was brilliant, and I am so glad I caught it in cinema. It would have been the first of any of the Middle Earth series that I would have missed.

So all in all it was a pretty brilliant day.
